Emily meyer

M.S., CCC-SLP

I’m Emily Meyer, a certified speech-language pathologist for over 15 years and the heart behind Loom.

I believe communication is more than words; its connection, identity, and how we show up in the world.  Loom was created from a deep love for walking alongside adults as they navigate cognitive-communication challenges.  Whether someone is rebuilding skills after a neurological event or learning new strategies to support daily life, my goal is always the same: to meet each person where they are and thoughtfully weave support into their real, everyday experiences.

I partner with families to provide support that feels personal and trustworthy.  My role is to serve as an extension of your family–helping your loved one maintain independence at home through compassionate care.

Our Approach to Care and Companionship

At Loom, we believe that care is not just about tasks–it’s about the threads of connection that make daily life meaningful.  We provide lifestyle-focused companion care for older adults, thoughtfully woven together by the perspective of a speech-language pathologist who understands the power of communication, routine, and human presence.  Our support is personal and unhurried.  We spend time in conversation, shared activities, gentle cognitive engagement, and daily rhythms that bring comfort and familiarity.
